During the summer of 2008 Jason was working in Great Falls with the Air National Guard.  I went to visit him, and his family also came to visit for the Fourth of July weekend.  On the night of the Fourth of July, all of us and some family friends went to a park that overlooks Great Falls to watch the fireworks.  There was a magnificent sunset and the view of the town lights that night were beautiful.  During the finale of the fireworks show, Jason got down on his knee in front of me and asked me to marry him.  It took me a second to realize what was going on because I had not expected it at all.  Of course I said yes!  It was the happiest moment of my life.  I couldn’t stop smiling, and I even cried a little from being so happy – something I’ve never had happen before or since!
